MATLAB Installation Guide for Unix |
Installing MATLAB on a Client System
You can set up a MATLAB network installation in several ways. Typically, you install MATLAB and the license manager on a server and users access MATLAB over the network. You can, however, also install MATLAB locally on user's systems. In this configuration, the local installs, or clients, need to access the server only to check out a license key when MATLAB starts.
The procedure to install MATLAB on a client system is almost identical to the procedure you use to install MATLAB and the license manager on a server, described in Installing MATLAB.
Table 1-2, Client System Installation Procedure lists all the steps in the installation procedure and notes where they are different on client systems. For a more detailed information about any of the steps, see the description of each step.
