Data Quantification Procedure

All of the subjects freely consented to having their session videotaped. At the conclusion of the experimental trials, an independent observergif was asked to rank each child in nine specific categories (see Appendix C), based on a combination of the child's behavior in the video, and the written responses to the questionnaires. The observer did not know the hypothesized relationships between any of the categories, but may have inferred a correlation on her own. This independent assessment provided a quantification of each child's behavior.
