The PostScript files in this directory are:

eigenfaces.ps	Shows the mean face (upper left hand corner) plus the
		first 15 eigenfaces for 100 samples of faces including
		all races, both sexes and most age groups.

detection.ps	Shows two techniques of locating heads in video sequences.
		The first using spatiotemporal processing for motion detection
		and blob localization to guess where the head is (the track
		of head position over the sequence is shown in detection.1.ps)
	
		The second technique uses the "distance-from-facespace" metric
		to locate a head. detection.2.ps is a "distancemap", the
		global minimum is the head location (darkest pixel)

		Once a head is localized, the appropriate region is cropped
		and passed on to the face-recognition module for processing


reconstruct.ps	These images demonstrate the "holographic" or distributed
		nature of the eigenspace representation. reconstruct.1.ps
		is an input partial image and reconstruct.2.ps is the
		reconstruction of the face.
