Development Environment


The MATLAB® development environment is a set of tools to help you use MATLAB functions and files. Many of these tools are graphical user interfaces.
Starting and Quitting MATLAB
Run MATLAB, including startup and shutdown options.
Using the Desktop
Use the MATLAB desktop to manage common tools. Configure the desktop, set preferences, and use other features.

Use the MATLAB graphical Editor/Debugger and debugging functions to create and change M-files.
Interfacing with Source Control Systems
Access your source control system from within MATLAB, Simulink®, and Stateflow®.
Using Notebook
Access the numeric computation and visualization software of MATLAB from within a word processing environment (Microsoft Word).
