Using the Property Editor to Add a Title

To add a title to a graph using the Property Editor:

  1. Start plot editing mode by selecting Edit Plot from the figure Tools menu
  2. Double-click on the axes in the graph. This starts the Property Editor. You can also start the Property Editor by right-clicking on the axes and selecting Properties from the context menu.
  1. The Property Editor displays the set of property panels specific to axes objects. Titles are a property of axes objects.

  1. Select the Style panel and type in the text of your title in the Title text entry box.

  2. Click Apply.

The title you create is a text object and, as such, you can change the font, font style, position and many other aspects of its format. To view the properties associated with a text object, click the Edit button next to the Title text entry box. For more information about text object properties, see Editing Text Annotations.
